SSI confirms that it has a written health, safety and environmental policy which is of a standard comparable to OSHA regulation on Health, Safety and Environment which has been signed and is actively supported and enforced by SSI management. |

Scope & Priority |
SSI accorded the highest priority to safety and health considerations for our clients, employees, contractors, sub-contractors and the public in general. Safety and Health considerations will not be compromised under all circumstances including, but not limited to factors such as costs, project scheduling, human resource and equipment requirements. |
Environment |
SSI treats the protection of the environment as our moral, ethical and legal obligation whilst carrying out our professional duties in engineering and construction activities. |
Approach |
Whenever it is practical and while observing the guidelines above, SSI adopts the following approach in all its activities:-
- Prevention, control and minimization of risks to health, safety and environment.
- Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and its subsequent amendments as well as other relevant legislation and regulations required by the client.
- Continuous improvement in control and maintenance of good health, safety and environmental practices.

Universal Responsibility |
Every staff, employees, contractor and sub-contractors of SSI is vested with the responsibility of observing and carrying out the Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Policy of the Company.
The management is responsible for ensuring the working environment is safe, the appropriate tools and methods are used in the execution of work in accordance to acceptable international quality standards and practices; and adequate training is provided in all aspects of work executed including safety aspects.
Each and every employee, contractor and sub-contractor will be responsible for the execution of work in the correct manner observing established procedures, standard practices and regulation, including according due respect to their fellow workers and the public in general. |

SSI strives to excel in all matters related to health, safety and the environment. All employees, contractors and sub-contractors executing works under the auspices of the Company, are challenged to uphold the Company's health, safety and environmental standards.
In order to achieve the aspirations of SSI in matters related to Health, Safety and Environment, a Health, Safety and Environment Plan (HSE Plan) has been drawn out. |
